“Dana has served Abundant Yoga Studio's Teacher Training program specifically in the area of Adjustments & Assists for the past 3 years, helping shepherd over 50 newly trained yoga instructors. I have worked closely with her in these settings and have witnessed her amazing impact as she mentors, guides and lovingly shares her knowledge of the body. She is an incredible teacher with a compassionate heart toward all her students. She always shows up with a smile and a willingness to help where needed. She is solution oriented, reliable and trustworthy. Her skills are abundant yet her heart is her biggest gift.”
— Keleah Anderson, Owner of Abundant Yoga
"Dana was one of my first yoga instructors several years ago when I started practicing, and remains a friend to this day. She taught me to always have FUN and try new things with my yoga practice, which has helped me develop as a teacher myself. She has encouraged me to grow, both on my mat and off my mat as a teacher and person.”
— Lindsay M.
”The reason Dana’s teaching is so incredibly good is that she possesses the true qualities of a leader - openness and flexibility. Yes, sure she has a great handstand. But more importantly - she’s not afraid to fall. And let you see her fall! And then get up and hold space while we all learn to fall. Her ability to create a dynamic and impactful outcome for others is why I value her so much in Teacher Training.”
— Linda Fenelon, Owner of NuPowerYoga
"When I began yoga, I was admittedly self-conscious, fearful of ‘not doing it right’, and looking like a fool. What I found in Dana’s leadership of our practices was a grace-filled environment of trust and encouragement through positivity. Over the past two years, I’ve begun to rely on these hours to lift my spirits and seek a respite from daily life. I could not recommend Dana’s instruction more highly!"
— Kit O.
“I wanted to quit practicing after my first month, but this smile mixed with encouragement and challenging practices kept me coming back for more. That was five years ago. I love Dana. She will always be my teacher.”
— Sarah D.
"When I needed personal attention for improving my level of fitness, I called on Dana. I had already experienced her skills in a group setting and knew she could help me improve my personal level of fitness without injury. However, I didn’t realize the extent to which she can identify imbalances, weakness, and personal barriers to successfully making gains in your overall health. This unique skill allows her the ability to guide you in a practice that will provide you with personal gains beyond expectations. She creates challenges intended to break through any barriers that have held you back in the past. Having Dana’s personal attention was definitely a gift to me!!"
— Brendie K.
“A few years ago, I realized that yoga was what I lacked in my healthy workout routine with two days of circuit training. What I didn’t realize, was that I not only did I get an instructor who would personalize my yoga to what my body needed but I also got a wonderful friend with a positive outlook on life. Dana personifies the verse, 'Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.' Col 3:12”
— Karen M.
