Dana is a second-generation minister, practically born and raised within the walls of a church as a pastor’s daughter. However, as she so often preaches, you can’t borrow someone else’s faith. Throughout her teenage years, she sought to outrun her upbringing, eventually becoming a teen mother during her freshman year of college at 18. It was in this unexpected twist that she discovered no matter how far you run, God is there at the finish line waiting to bring you home. As she continued her college education, she worked on presidential campaigns, on a trajectory to become what she calls “a real life Olivia Pope from Scandal.”
As she started a family with her husband Chris, a former NBA player who was radically saved through her testimony, she found a calling higher than politics: people. Today, Dana is a pastor who can speak from experience about the power and purpose that faith brings to our lives.
Dana says, “My life’s message is all about bridging the gap between real life and God’s transformative love- sometimes by holding people’s hands, and sometimes by lighting a fire.” Dana has traveled around the country sharing her story, and would adore a chance to come and share her heart with you.
She brings these open and generous qualities into her family first, and then to the world of yoga, coaching, pastoring, and more. Dana is married to former NBA player Chris Taft, and together they have 3 children; Kayla, David, and Ethan. They reside in Nashville, TN.
